The Traxxas TRX-4 features the XL5 HV ESC, the XL5 HV features the dedicated driving profiles for crawling and trail driving, in addition to sport mode, race mode and training mode profiles.
Trail mode provides full forward and reserve throttles.
And as a drag brake bond in a neutral position to help control the model on incline trail train.
Brakes can be applied as normal by moving the trigger forward.
Pushing forward again applies reserves as normal.
Crawl mode features hill hold which fully engages the brakes when in neutral.
This prevent the vehicles from rolling whenever the throttle is disengaged even on steep inclines.
Crawl mode also allows for instant reverse by pushing the trigger forward once.
The speed control is factory set to trail mode.
To select another profile, follow these steps.
Turn on the transmitter and connect a fully charged battery pack to the XL5 HV.
With the speed control powered off, press and hold the EZ SET button until the LEDs turn solid green, then solid red and then begins blinking red.

To select sport mode, release after 1 blink.
For race mode, release after 2 blinks.
For training mode, release after 3 blinks.
For trail mode, release after 4 blinks.
For crawl mode, release after 5 blinks.
