The "HPI Works Challenge on Dirt 2005 in Thailand" was held at the TOP SPEED track located an hour's drive from Bangkok, on December 25. The TOP SPEED is a beautiful full-fledged off-road track with green lawn in a big area with a convenience store and supermarket nearby. 1/8 off-road is as popular as EP touring in Asian countries. With the introduction of great stadium trucks, off-road racing has been rapidly gaining in popularity in Thailand. Since the event was held on Christmas, many drivers came to the event with their families. Excitement of 1/8 off-road racing lies in setting and driving skills. So that the event provided drivers with great opportunity to show their skills developed in their practice and race experience. The temperature was 30 degrees Celsius, higher than the previous day, and the event started in a pleasant climate. Both ATSUSHI HARA and SURIKARN CHAIDAJSURIYA participated in the 1/8 Buggy Class with the Lightning 2, while MASAYUKI MIURA, who is quite popular driver in Thailand, participated in the Stadium Class. Though the 1/8 Buggy Class was open to any brand cars, most drivers chose the Lightning 2. Due to the ample data available for the machine, it was rather a logical choice to win the race. Knowing the existence of many fast drivers, ATSUSHI HARA and SURIKARN implemented full-scale preparations. [ 本帖最后由 诺亚 于 2006-1-27 13:54 编辑 ] |
