DDM "FAST" Pipe vs. CPI Pipe - Similarities Explained This has already been briefly discussed on the forum, but I would just like to make a new thread clearly outlining this issue so as to put all confusion to rest. The DDM "Fast" Pipe and CPI Racing pipe have obvious similarities in shape. This, no doubt, leads one to ask the question "who copied who"? Here is a brief history of this pipe. It all started with FAST, who had seen HEMISTORM's original idea, and approached us with an idea to make a pipe with a tip similar to that of a Pagani Zonda. We thought it was a great idea, and went to work on different designs. Our pipe designers worked some with Mike @ CPI (CPI is located less than an hour's drive from DDM). As a result, the DDM "Fast" pipe was developed, and Mike @ CPI changed the design significantly for his version (the CPI Pipe). So, in reality, neither pipe is a "copy". They both share the same origins, with DDM going one way with it and CPI going another. DDM's pipe is a bit larger (wider), the CPI is more compact. Obviously the exhaust tip is the biggest difference. Hopefully this answers the question clearly and concisely. When the issue comes up again (as no doubt people new to the forum will post the question) they can be referred to this thread to have their questions answered. There is no bad blood between DDM, CPI, LargeScale RC, or FAST. We can all get along together to offer customers as many products as possible, and in the end hopefully we can all be winners. Thanks for your support everybody. I hope this clears up any lingering questions. -Dave @ DDM 这个就不用我再解释了吧。。。。。。。。 |
