Serpent are at the toy fair showing their all new 811 Cobra buggy. Chief designer Billy Easton is also present and we had a chat with him about the new car. With a focus on making the car simpler for the end user as well as being able to perform at a high level, Billy has put a lot of effort into the finer details. Another focus was to bring the car in at a good price point while still being highly spec’d, everything you see in the photos coming as standard, with the exception of the option ball raced anti roll bar that is in the front and rear of this car. With only a limited number of gallons through the test car it has already performed really well and now with only some minor changes and finishing touches need to be made to the current shock tower, rear lower bracket and the shocks themselves, the car is expected to be launched in April. Other products on the Serpent stand include the new 966e which we have covered previously and company’s two new link cars, the S100 and S120 Link. Currently the rest of the line, the 733 and 966 have remained the same but we can expect an upgrade for the 966 in time for this years European Championships in Italy. |
